Wanted: Inspiration...

I have no idea what is wrong with me...no inspiration, no motivation, no energy, no desire to photograph or post.  I’m at a loss.  Is this bloggers' block or are there too many other things on my plate.  And speaking of plates, the one thing I have a desire for is food. Maybe the Easter feast has something to do with this. You know how it goes, you get on the eating treadmill and just can’t seem to jump off and, before you know it, there is an extra 10 lbs. staring you in the face.  This is probably why I’m avoiding mirrors lately.

Luckily, Easter flowers, on their way out, provided some motivation to pull out the macro lens and Canon 500D closeup diopter.

Smile!  And have a wonderful week!

  1. These are lovely shots! I don't think you're alone in the motivation department... I've managing to take a photo a day, but never finding the time to post to the blog. I think there is just too much going on and eventually something has to give.

    Have a great week!

  4. You are not alone in "What do I blog next about". Sometimes I just look through my archives of photos and pull out a couple of photos that speak to me for the day. They don't have to be the best photos in your archives just something that speaks to you. Then write about it. Maybe write about the day you took the photo or what sparked in you when you saw it in your archives. Have some fun. Be gentle with yourself.

  5. It's hard Helene, and we've all been there. Sometimes I get ideas of blog posts from other blogs or something they have talked about. Other times it's whatever is going on in my life, no matter how boring, and I blog about it. Mostly because my blog is like a diary for me and it's always interesting to go back in the archives and see what was going on an given day. Some days all it takes is stepping out into my yard and seeing something new to photograph. Hang in there!

  6. These are beautiful shots.

I swear if I try to take a blogging break, I have so much I want to say....but then I start it back up and I am at a loss. For one thing for me is I have not been going on many drives. That always energizes me, but with gas the price it is, I have been staying home a lot more.

But otherwise, I am just tired all the time. Whether I do something or whether I don't.

    1. Rose, you are spot on. My gas money goes towards getting to and from work. And your comment re. being tired all the time...that's me. If I had the time, I'd probably be able to sleep for 3 days straight...all from doing NOTHING! Ugh!

  8. Nice photos! I've been stuck on flowers. If nothing new is blooming in our garden, I don't feel like taking pictures. I'm hoping to get out of this rut soon. I can relate to being feeling tired. In my case, it's from too many sugar highs during the day. My fellow co-workers keep filling the big bowl at work with lots of "fun size" chocolates.

  9. I had been feeling exactly the same way lately. I ended up going back this week to one of the first places I ever went when I got my first camera. I took some photos of the same things I did before, and noticed a lot of things I missed the first time. It gave me a little motivation and inspiration. I guess unless you're one of those people that travel all over the world, and are always seeing something new it's easy to get a little burnt out.

  13. I actually have days or even weeks where my motivation is hiding out somewhere.... and I wonder why I blog, why I spend all this time at it. Then something cool happens that gets me excited again. :)
